Rigging and Skinning
The Total War games required a variety of rigging and skinning for a range of humanoids and creatures. Rigs were of varying complexity, the flying creatures were a response to the Animation team who needed a flexible spine control that could switch it's primary control easily.
Tools Development
Rigging and Pipeline tools were written in Python with PySide front-ends, varying in scope from focused utilities to larger collaborative systems. For example, the retargeting tool was created as a specific response to the limitations of HIK when working with creature rigs. Larger tools, such as the Rigging Tool, were developed very much in collaboration with the Technical Animation team at CA.
